what's next

So here it finally is, the big news that I've been hinting at for the past couple of weeks:

You guys may remember me mentioning that I've been looking for and applying to jobs since January.  Then, a few days before graduation, I got a call from one of the companies that I interviewed with and they offered me a job!  Needless to say, I was (and still am!) extremely excited and called my parents right away to tell them the happy news :)

Right now, I'm still home in CA, but tomorrow I head to NY!  I have an apartment that I'm subletting for the summer and I have some time to settle in before I start work in a little over a week.  I do eventually have to find an apartment for the fall, so if you guys have any tips for apartment-hunting the city, I would love to hear them!

I've been to New York several times over the past four years, but I know living there will be a completely different experience!  I really am so interested to see how it will all turn out!

Tell me: Who's a NYC blogger? As I start to explore the city, what are some must-see spots?

Congrats on the job! Coincidentally, my sister went to NY yesterday to go apartment hunting as she'll be going to culinary school there. Maybe I cam forward her list of apartment complexes once she returns! Hope you enjoy, and congrats again!

Also, thank you so much for stopping by my blog! I really appreciate it!

That's so exciting! I'm really going to miss living so close to NYC when I move next year and it's so cool that you have the opportunity to live there. You'll have to tell me more about the job when we finally meet in person next week.

So exciting, Nnenna! The only NY bloggers I know is Garance Doré (girlfriend of the Sartorialist), the Man Repeller and Intro to My Life. My dear blogging friend Maddy (the Maddy Chronicles) who is a wonderful photographer lives close by.

Wishing you all the best!!!

I'm from Jersey, but I'm in the city often. Go to Union Square Park. One of my favorite places. And there's a great Thai restaurant called Qi near there. It's delicious! Best of luck :)
